LHC

For more then 20 years now scientists have been working on the Large Hadron Collider. Just a few days ago on the 8th of September they finally turned it on. And so far it has yet to produce a black hole and destroy the planet, which is good. Basically they are trying to determine some things about how the universe operates, how its made up, so we can better understand things. You know, simple stuff, antimatter and the like.

Anyhow, I know its a few days after turn on, but I have a few things for you to enjoy. First off we have a comic from the nice folks at xkcd. You can see it here.

Next up we have a way for the modern kids to understand some science by trying to explain it through a popular music genre. You can go here and watch it.

And finally if you want to visit the official looking website and learn about it, go ahead and look here.

Its great when we use science to smash things open.
